For a few years, the District 4 Riders Group participated in a program to provide stuffed animals to local and state police departments. The police departments use these animals in their community programs. This year our Riders Group will donate hundreds of stuffed animals to the Detroit Police Department. This event will take place in March.
Rodney Gasaway, our Riders Chaplain, has been working with the Detroit Police Department, who gladly wanted the stuffed animals to support their community services. In addition to the Detroit Police, the charity United Way will also be there to accept stuffed animals as they are involved heavily with child abuse. Our Riders leaders will publish more details of this meaningful event and focus on logistics. We desire a large amount of support from our District 4 Riders.
